Professional Flight Planning In Development
We're building comprehensive flight planning tools for VFR and IFR flights. Route optimization, weather integration, and performance calculations are on the way.
Planned Flight Planning Features
These features are currently in development. Stay tuned for updates.
Automatically find the most efficient route between airports. Consider airways, restricted airspace, and preferred routing for time and fuel savings.
Add VORs, NDBs, intersections, airports, and custom GPS coordinates. Build complex routes with multiple waypoints. Drag and drop to easily reorder.
Real-time METAR/TAF along your route. Winds aloft data for optimal altitude selection. Weather radar overlay and severe weather alerts.
Calculate fuel burn based on aircraft performance, winds, and altitude. Include reserves and alternate requirements. Optimize cruise altitude for efficiency.
Comprehensive airport information including runways, frequencies, services, and active NOTAMs. Search by ICAO, IATA code, or airport name.
Automatic alerts for restricted, prohibited, and special use airspace. TFR notifications and controlled airspace ceiling/floor information.
Access current NOTAMs for departure, destination, and alternate airports. Filter by type and relevance. Receive notifications about critical changes affecting your flight.
Export flight plans in multiple formats: PDF for printing, GPX for GPS, and industry-standard formats for import into other EFB systems.
Accurate flight time estimates considering aircraft speed, wind component, cruise altitude, and climb/descent time. Plan your arrival with precision.
How to Plan Your Flight
Select Your Airports
Enter your departure and destination airports using ICAO codes (e.g., KJFK, KLAX), IATA codes (JFK, LAX), or search by airport name. View airport details including runways, frequencies, and current weather conditions. The system automatically suggests suitable alternate airports based on regulatory requirements.
Build Your Route
Add waypoints to create your route. Use VORs, NDBs, fixes, or custom GPS coordinates. The app suggests airways and commonly used routes based on real air traffic data. Drag and drop waypoints to reorder them quickly. View your route on the interactive map with distance and heading information between each segment.
Analyze Weather Conditions
Access current and forecast weather information along your entire route. View decoded METARs and TAFs for all airports. Check winds aloft at different flight levels to optimize your cruise altitude. Review weather radar images and significant weather charts. Make informed go/no-go decisions based on comprehensive weather data.
Calculate Performance and Fuel
Enter your aircraft specifications and weight and balance data. The system automatically calculates takeoff and landing distances, climb performance, optimal cruise speed, and total fuel burn based on actual wind profiles. Receive optimal altitude recommendations considering winds, fuel burn, and aircraft limitations. Includes reserve fuel calculations and alternate requirements per regulations.
Save and Share
Save your flight plan for offline access during the flight. Export as PDF for printing and sharing with passengers or base operators. Transfer plans to other EFB applications or GPS using industry-standard formats. All plans sync automatically between your devices via cloud, allowing you to start planning on your tablet and finish on your smartphone.
